Pilates
Physiotherapy Led Pilates is a complete body workout that aims to improve core stability, flexibility & postural awareness. It is a mind-body form of exercise that places great emphasis on initiating movement from a central core of stability.
Here at Vale Wellness our Senior Physiotherapists are highly trained in assessing posture, movement dysfunctions and muscle imbalances.
Their in-depth knowledge of anatomy and injury enables them to tailor appropriate exercises to assist in rehabilitation.
- Core Stability
Conscious activation of core muscles enables movement from a stable base during exercise. - Postural Awareness
Exercises are designed to help improve alignment resulting in improvement to posture. - Flexibility
Overly tight muscles are lengthened to restoring balance once again to the body. - Relaxation
Concentrating on the movement enabling the mind to let go of distraction and become more peaceful and calm. - Breathing
Using physiological methods to enhance relaxation and control, movements are in rhythm with the breath. - Body Awareness
Visualisations empower participants to develop and understand their own body.
The Pilates treatments at Vale Wellness are designed to help both new and more experienced pilates enthusiasts improve their pilates skills by being safely guided by our professional physiotherapist.
